The Composition and Diversity of Intestinal Microbes at Different Growth Stages of Giant Freshwater Prawns (Macrobrachium rosenbergii)

Intestinal bacterial communities play an important role in the growth and health of aquatic animal hosts have drawn increasing attention. However, intestinal microbiota freshwater prawns remains unclear. Here, (Macrobrachium rosenbergii) at different life stages (one, two, three months old) were investigated using 16S rRNA sequencing. The results showed that community richness diversity increased with growth, which might be one reasons maintained a fast rate before sexual maturation. Three core phyla identified one-month-old group, namely, Firmicutes (79.24%), Proteobacteria (17.09%) Actinobacteriota (2.01%). Five two-month-old including (47.84%), (44.22%), (1.83%), Acidobacteriota (1.66%) Bacteroidota (1.24%), three-month-old group similar, except for Acidobacterota, was not identified. A total 12 genera all samples, significant differences observed relative abundance gut between groups (p < 0.05). Exiguobacterium, Lactococcus Shewanella most significantly differentially abundant stages. In addition, Candidatus Hepatoplasma detected only two- prawn groups. This study provides information on developmental stages, contribute to adaptation salinity early stage digestive ability meet needs Macrobrachium rosenbergii.
